Live by the Sword, Die by the Sword

Numerous youth have been killed by a gun,

A tragic outcome that some could have shunned.

They could have chosen a different route,

To sit together and try talking it out.

A mother is crying, a friend gives a sigh,

As they go to the grave for a final goodbye.

It shouldn’t have happened, it was not meant to be.

The judge gives the verdict: Murder, First-degree.
